Awards given to scientists in virtual seminar hosted by Centre for Quality and Food Safety and Sharda University in India
The Centre for Quality and Food Safety (CQFS) in New Delhi, India celebrated World Food Safety Day on 7 June 2021 in association with Sharda University, Greater Noida, India. The virtual seminar opened with an evaluation of an E-Poster competition that was organized a day before the event for students from various universities in the country. Winners in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, as judged by an expert panel, were awarded certificates.
The main attraction of the event was an award ceremony in which nine scientists/officials dealing with food safety were identified through nominations received by an expert committee and were given award certificates online.
Representatives of the Centre for Quality and Food Safety and Sharda University were among the speakers. CQFS is a registered Trust under the Society’ s Act, and has been formed to act as a catalyst in ensuring availability of safe and nutritious food in India in association with various regulators, policy makers and other stakeholders.
