CCFH 53 agreed to establish an EWG, chaired by Chile and co-chaired by New Zealand, Kenya and the United States of America, and working in English (and noting that comments would also be accepted in Spanish), to:
a. further develops the annex on fresh leafy produce using CRD13 as a basis and taking into consideration the general section of the guidance as agreed at CCFH53;
b. continues the development of the annex on sprouts describing interventions relevant to control STEC, taking into consideration the written comments that were submitted through the Online Commenting System (OCS) in response to the CL 2022/56-FH, and CRDs submitted at CCFH53, as well as the general section of the guidance as agreed at CCFH53 (REP23/FH para. 75)
