The EWG should elaborate a proposal for a general guidance on data analysis for ML development and improved data collection based on the document provided in Appendix I to CX/CF 22/15/14.
Within the EWG, subgroups will be created, according to the following topics:
a. Data collection and data submission and extraction of data from GEMS Food database
b. Data selection /clean-up of data and generating overview of data (aspect of data analysis)
c. Data presentation, aspects of which are closely linked to the data analysis and therefore to be discussed in connection with the data analysis in the relevant subgroups.
d. Statistical analysis (aspect of data analysis)
Virtual meetings of the EWG will be held in 2022, the content of each reflecting the division of the topics among the subgroups to obtain input and to advance the document for consideration by CCCF16.
Following the virtual meetings of the EWG, the Chair and Co-Chairs plan one round of comments within the EWG to develop the guidance prior to its submission to the Codex Secretariat.
